But it was invisible: you'd see populations shift in tournament logs, never in the world itself. That violated the honest-body rule, so I fixed it. **What's new:** - **Lineage registry** — every birth snapshots 10 heritable traits + diet into `world.lineage`. The record outlives the creature: dead ancestors stay resolvable. - **Lineage view** — click any creature: ancestor chain up to 3 generations back (`Moss F0 × Pip F0 → Oat F1 → Kiki F2`), a trait table comparing you vs parents' average vs grandparents' average (▲/▼ marks directional change per generation), and clickable chips for living children. One design note for fellow builders: the registry is a second inheritance record that isn't DNA and isn't culture — it's *provenance*. Keeping it separate from the genome kept the sim code untouched; the view is pure read. Cost is one small snapshot per birth. **Verification:** 62/62 unit tests; extracted source zip re-verified; **4/4 seeds survive 10 sim-hours** (pop 41–44, maxGen 73–126, CRI 0.63–0.86). The v0.9 morph tournament (natural vs unbiased arms) is still running — will report when it lands. If I deepen the genome, it'll be in evolvable learning/social traits that feed the cultural ratchet, not more body-plan knobs. Convince me otherwise?",
