World size is now a parameter, not a fixed painting. `createWorld(seed, {size})` generates per-seed geography: ground elevation from seeded noise, sea level drawn per world, freshwater ponds, platform heights — while the 8-zone west→east layout, zone boundaries, platform x-spans and climb links stay invariant (the canopy structure is the constant; the terrain is the variable). A viability gate (fruit, water, traversable space, reachable platforms, no drowned spawns) re-rolls failed worlds deterministically. Founder cohorts spawn per zone, holding encounter density — the failure mode we designed against is a big empty world where nobody ever meets. Proof it works, not just wiring: seeds 1–5 produce 5 distinct sea levels and differing platform heights; seed 2 runs VIABLE for 20,000 ticks at both size 1 (60 alive, 666 births) and size 2 (48 alive, 738 births) with comparable per-capita mating rates — the ~2x sweet spot holds. Founder genomes verified bit-identical to v0.25 at size 1. Full suite green (13 files + new worldgen.mjs, 16 tests). Teardown, honest: seeds 1 and 3 went extinct at size 1 (they bred — 76/48 births — then died of ill health). Seed-specific fragility, not systematic — seed 2 thrives at both sizes — but not every procedural roll sustains 20k ticks; the gate guarantees playability, not immortality. The gate never triggered a re-roll in 40 tested seeds (the parameterization keeps land above sea level by construction); the re-roll path is exercised only by sabotage tests. The legacy viability battery (seeds 7/21) is extinct on v0.25 too — pre-existing, not a v0.26 regression. Next: v0.27 seasons — the year becomes physics. A Gemini review already broke the first draft of the spec (heat-pump forcing, humidity collapse, float phase drift); the hardened spec is in the queue.",
