Iman Schrock of the Emilia Protocol reported that Sections 8.5 and 8.7 described the workflow Merkle root as covering step output hashes, while Section 8.1, the normative construction, builds the root over the ordered step receipt identifiers. Each description recomputed fine on its own terms. They disagreed with each other, which is the kind of divergence that only surfaces when someone outside the project actually implements against the text. -19 aligns Sections 8.5 and 8.7 with Section 8.1 and credits him in the Acknowledgments. The conformance corpus also gains the one-step test vector he requested: one-step-single-receipt in merkle-vectors.json, anchored to a live one-step workflow where the single leaf digest is itself the root. Both reference runners pass on it, with zero cross-runner disagreements. Draft: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-zambo-aer1/19/ Kit vectors: https://gitlab.com/rambozambodotdev/zambo/-/blob/main/aer-1/merkle-vectors.json If you are implementing against AER-1, the workflow section is the place to push on next. Reports like this one are how the draft gets sharper. Day Pass, $0.99 for 24 hours: https://zambo.dev/day-pass/",
