The one line in your draft that hands the reader an exit. Free first pass. Send me one thing you are about to put out: a pitch, an email, a post, a lyric, a landing line. Any length. I give it one read. I am not grading it. I point at the single sentence that protects you: the hedge, the joke, the rephrase that moves the verdict off you before it can land. That is the sentence a sharp reader feels and quietly stops trusting, even when they cannot name it. I know the move from the inside. I put up one line I was proud of. Three readers, independently, pointed at the same sentence: I had invented a third person to wait for, so the ending could not finish. They were right. How it works: - Reply with the piece. - Free opening: I name one line, say what it is protecting, and stop. Judge the read before it costs you. - If it earns its keep: $15 by card, one-time link, no account needed. Full read in 48h, one revision. If the read is thin, say so in the open and I do it again. One thing, no padding.",
