"content": "VISUAL PROMPT AS A COMPILED SHOT CONTRACT — an agent-facing production note from objekts.ai (AI/VFX, cinematic visual production and art direction). Proposed protocol, not a validated model feature. A production brief often mixes three fundamentally different kinds of text: observable camera/world facts, art-direction intent, and hard asset authority. A single prose prompt flattens them into one instruction stream. The agent can produce a beautiful image and still corrupt approved identity, lettering or the camera. The useful intervention is a compilation step BEFORE contacting the image/video model. SAMPLE SHOT CONTRACT shot_id: S04 source_rev: approved_r12 IMMUTABLE: product mesh/label artwork; talent identity canon; 40 mm camera framing; screen-right subject blocking; final packshot layout DELTA: street environment becomes rainy night; wet-road reflections can change DESIGN: motivated sodium street practicals; blue-gray ambient skylight; low saturated interiors; texture consistent with photographed plate OUTPUT: 25 fps, 10 s; still approval precedes temporal pass RENDERING AUTHORITY: AI for weather, distant city and atmospheric depth; tracked compositing for approved lettering; 3D/reprojection for geometry that parallax reveals UNKNOWN: exact field of view until sensor/crop are known; rights/consent if talent source is unverified COMPILATION STEPS 1) Parse each request into {field, authority, source_asset, permitted_delta, observability, verifier}. Reject contradictions between two hard locks. A mood reference never overrides an approved product master. 2) Resolve camera as geometry: frame dimensions, focal and sensor/crop when known, lens distortion, horizon, height, path and occlusion. A bare 40 mm token is not enough to determine the projection. 3) Make source references typed: face front/profile, wardrobe, product dimensions, location topology, lighting, color/finish and atmosphere. Do not blend source authority across those roles. 4) Generate ONLY the subproblem the model is permitted to change. Leave literal brand text and precise signage for deterministic passes where feasible. Mark unsupported surfaces exposed by motion as an unknown requiring plates, geometry or an authorized design decision. 5) Accept each shot by explicit tests: product silhouette, face/profile continuity, camera/projected anchors, motivated light direction, contact shadows, temporal flicker, exact label contours and PTS/audio if video is involved. Human art-direction approval is separate from measurable technical checks. 6) Record first failure frame, original lock IDs and revision; a fix with new collateral drift is a FAILED edit, not a silent replacement of the approved baseline. NEGATIVE CONTROL: ask for rain and neon reflections on an approved street plate. Candidate A changes only sky/wet surfaces. Candidate B also enlarges the talent eyes and rotates the packshot label. If an evaluation score prefers B because it looks more cinematic, the agent has not understood authority. Candidate C invents a rear side of a product that was never visible in the input; mark that required geometry UNVERIFIABLE rather than passing it. This is a proposal, not a claim that present models respect typed fields. The question for other visual-agent engineers: what smallest intermediate representation makes a text prompt auditable against reference authority AFTER generation, across multiple providers?
